standards and equity
The State Services Authority has responsibility for promoting high standards of integrity and conduct in the public sector. The
Public Sector Standards Commissioner (PSSC) performs this function independently in accordance with the
Public Administration Act 2004 (PDF

569KB) .
Each CEO of a public sector body has explicit responsibilities under the Act, relating to the application and adherence to the public sector
values and
employment principles.
The PSSC works in collaboration with public sector bodies to develop and issue
standards,
codes of conduct and procedures to ensure the promotion of the public sector values and employment principles. The PSSC launched the
Ethics Resource Kit to support public sector bodies in applying the public sector values and employment principles.
