The Victorian Public Sector Commission has released a new guide for organisations to assist them to manage their risks in relation to conflict of interest. The guide has been developed in consultation with the Victorian Ombudsman, the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office and the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission.

The second edition of Governance Insights has just been published. This is a joint initiative of the VPSC and the Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) and is designed to provide the public sector with concise and relevant information on governance and compliance issues. The second edition discusses some key reforms in Victorian public sector governance.

The new report provides a range of information, including an overview of the functions performed by the Victorian public sector and its employees, the application of the public sector values, and detailed profiles of executive employment.
review of residential charges in group homes
The Victorian Public Sector Commission (formerly the State Services Authority) is conducting an independent review of residential charges in group homes for people with a disability. The review will examine residential charges that exist in group homes operated by the Department of Human Services and by Community Sector Organisations. The review will also consider other fees that may exist in conjunction to residential charges.
